Pokemon Gold/Silver is the second generation of the Pokemon franchise. Like Red and Blue, this game has the same RPG element in it. The only difference is that there are a new set of pokemons that you can capture. The game was released for the Game Boy Color where the game is colorful than its predecessor.
Lets get into the Pros and Cons
Pokemon Gold/Silver may be similar to Red and Blue, however there are new features added to the game. One of its features is the ability of pokemon holding items. What this does allowed a new element of battling. Unlike Red and Blue, the game have colors, which I believe is important because adding color to the game can give the player a relaxing feel instead of looking at the same two colors, black and white.
